Facilities Overview

Abernathy ISD is home to some of the best facilities on the South Plains.

Abernathy Middle School also underwent a $3.5 million renovation in 2005.

The High School built new classrooms, a gym, a field house, a vocational agricultural facility, and a renovation which was completed in 2011 for $14 million.

Abernathy Elementary completed a $12 million renovation and expansion project in 2013.  

Abernathy ISD also added turf, upgrades to the football stands, and an agricultural farm through the 2014 bond election. 

In November of 2024, the Abernathy Community approved Propositions A and B during the bond election to add security upgrades, renovations to the auditorium and middle school, HVAC improvements and new turf for the football field.
